§ 18-4. Surcharge of $2.00 on civil violations of this chapter.

In addition to the civil penalties imposed in section 18-2, violators shall pay an additional surcharge of $2.00 for violations of this chapter relating to animal control or cruelty. The proceeds from said surcharge shall be used to pay the costs of a 40-hour, minimum-standards training course for animal control officers. See F.S. § 828.27(4)(a).
